Coaching for High Growth (Oxford Innovation Ltd)

The aim of this investment is to assist small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with high growth potential to realise their potential and improve their performance.

Oxford Innovation Cornwall Team

Managers of SMEs will be able to access practical coaching and mentoring assistance delivered by experienced coaches who have worked at board level in small and medium sized enterprises and overcome a range of challenges to expand their businesses. The team can help managers who are looking for a new perspective on a business or would like help with specific issues such as growing businesses through a step change, refining business models, identifying new markets, sourcing new technologies, extending geographical reach and building teams.  The coaching assistance, which is offered for up to 30 days, is fully funded and confidential.

Coaching for high growth receives £4,798,800 in ERDF Convergence investment and ££533,200 from the South West RDA.

Equality and Diversity

GrowCornwall, through its Starting a High Growth and Coaching for High Growth business programmes, will aim to reduce barriers to access to its business support by taking into consideration, or in some cases, specifically focusing on the particular needs of people who are disadvantaged or discriminated against through age, disability, race, gender or transgender, religion or belief and sexual orientation. It may also include efforts to specifically target and support female led start-up businesses. We will consider how well local Solutions for Business partners know and understand the nature and extent of inequality within Cornwall and how effectively we can work together reduce barriers to business support.

Equality Impact Assessment for Coaching for High Growth.

Environment

Coaching for High Growth will assist beneficiaries in addressing environmental sustainability.  Home based coaches will use various forms of tele and web conferencing to reduce car travel to the beneficiaries.  By utilising web based and electronic communication technologies for data collection, document storage and information distribution use of printed material will be reduced.  The participants will be encouraged to use green innovation to improve their sustainability and coaches will identify and promote appropriate sources of assistance and advice.
