The aim of this investment is to assist small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with high growth potential to realise their potential and improve their performance.

Oxford Innovation Cornwall Team

Managers of SMEs will be able to access practical coaching and mentoring assistance delivered by experienced coaches who have worked at board level in Small and medium sized enterprises and overcome a range of challenges to expand their businesses. The team can help managers who are looking for a new perspective on a business or would like help with specific issues such as growing businesses through a step change, refining business models, identifying new markets, sourcing new technologies, extending geographical reach and building teams.  The coaching assistance, which is offered for up to 30 days, is free and confidential.

Equality and Diversity

Coaching helps build confidence for under-represented groups including women and this investment will be working in partnership with equality networks within Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly to promote its opportunities.  Interaction with clients is flexible and according to individual need.

Environment

Coaching for High Growth will assist beneficiaries in addressing environmental sustainability.  Home based coaches will use various forms of tele and web conferencing to reduce car travel to the beneficiaries.  By utilising web based and electronic communication technologies for data collection, document storage and information distribution use of printed material will be reduced.  The participants will be encouraged to use green innovation to improve their sustainability and coaches will identify and promote appropriate sources of assistance and advice.
