Cornish Crabbers (Cornish Crabbers LLP)

Cornish Crabbers, a boat building company based in Rock, North Cornwall, is receiving ERDF Convergence investment to expand the business by purchasing the premises it currently occupies and investing in production equipment.  Investment is also being provided for the installation of photovoltaic cells as part of the business’ efforts to reduce its carbon footprint.

This investment will safeguard the 10 existing jobs at Cornish Crabbers and employment is forecast to grow to 32 by 2013.

Convergence assistance is being provided through the Grant for Business Investment Strategic Investment Framework which has been established to support the expansion, modernisation and diversification of businesses, typically through acquisition of key assets such as buildings, plant and machinery – creating jobs, raising business productivity and raising skills levels.
