Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Grants Programme Phase 2 (Cornwall Development Company)

Grants available up to £12,000 per annum for small third sector organisations to help support disadvantaged individuals within their communities closer to and into work.  A wide variety of activity can be supported, for example confidence building, basic skills, taster work experience, mentoring or support.

Activities may include such things as help with basic skills, work experience, voluntary work and job search along with limited scope for training Third Sector organisations and building capacity of provision.

Eligibility

  • Participants aged 16+
  • People who are unemployed or economically inactive
  • People resident in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly
  • Majority expected to be female

Priority groups for this investment include people with disabilities including learning difficulties/disabilities, lone parents, people aged 50 and over, ethnic minorities, females, adults living in workless households, benefit claimants, offenders/ex-offenders, drug or alcohol misusers, young people (up to 25), other disadvantaged parents and carers, particularly those returning to the labour market after a prolonged absence and homeless people.
