Heartlands

The Heartlands project as a whole will create a unique setting for a range of activities that are essential for the area’s economic and social regeneration, with Convergence investment’s contribution including;

•         A visitor centre for the Robinson's Shaft complex and the Cornwall and West Devon Mining Landscape World Heritage Site

•         A Park including formal gardens, play areas and areas of historic significance

•         New market and congregational squares

•         Event and performance spaces

•         New streetscape works for Pool village

•         Cycle ways and new footpaths

Underpinning these elements are;

•         Energy and water systems which are sustainable, have low impact and are carbon positive

•         Governance and management systems with a social enterprise focus creating surpluses for reinvestment
