This project will provide 707 sq m of high quality accommodation in the centre of St Austell.The scheme will bring back into use ones redundant historic building (1/1a High Cross Street) and redevelop the adjacent building – 3 Cross Lane.

This project hopes to:

  • Create 6 new jobs
  • Increase GVA by £1,200000
  • Create 707 sq m of floor space
  • Develop a redundant/historic site for a new economic use
  • To safeguard 68 existing jobs

Cross cutting themes

The entire development is intended to attain the highest possible BREEAM accreditation; however the nature of the buildings may restrict this to a ‘Very Good’ rating.  The scheme will also restore specific historic features which reflects the building’s location within a conservation area.
