The key elements of the project are:

•    To strengthen and re-surface the Echo taxiway – linking the runway to the hangar apron on the southern side of the airport – to meet Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) regulations and licensing standards.
•    The re-profiling and re-surfacing of the Echo Apron – providing aircraft parking and access to the hangar – to meet CAA regulations and licensing standards
•    Provision of aeronautical lighting
•    Refurbishment and replacement of apron lighting.

The scheme will allow aircraft access to the Southern Development Zone and thereby permit the use of a number of sites around the apron for aeronautical business use.

This will facilitate the delivery of direct aerospace and aviation growth, taking advantage of the assets Newquay Airport provides; thus generating the potential for new high value, highly skilled permanent employment.
