EMBARK (Cornwall Council)
This investment focuses on raising aspirations and participation levels among employees in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, who, as members of minority groups, face multiple barriers to education and employment opportunities. It also aims to increase employers’ awareness of the needs of the target groups.
The investment will provide three flexible funds:
- Learner Support Fund which will deliver financial assistance to individuals to help them access learning to improve their employment prospects.
- Equality and Diversity Training which will provide equality and diversity information to employers and encourage front line staff to look at services and how they are provided. This fund will also help staff understand the issues faced by colleagues from diverse communities.
- Delegated Fund which will support positive action projects in the workplace.
