Equator (Cornwall Council)

This project aims to raise aspiration and participation levels of people who, because of their minority status, face multiple barriers to accessing education and employment opportunities.

The investment will provide three flexible funds:

  • Learner Support Fund which will deliver financial assistance to people within the target groups to assist in overcoming barriers to learning.
  • Training Fund to support diversity training to develop capacity for delivery of effective equality and diversity based services.
  • Delegated Fund which will support positive action projects.

More information, advice and guidance (IAG) will be made available and specialist training will be provided for IAG staff.

The ESF Convergence Programme has invested £990,000 and match activity is provided by the Skills Funding Agency.
