Freestyle Equality and Diversity (Cornwall Council)

This project aims to provide activities and specialist support to young people within disadvantaged and hard to reach groups to remove barriers to learning  to help them engage with and remain in learning.  It also aims to raise awareness of equality and diversity issues.

Young Mums win award


Freestyle Equality and Diversity will provide three innovative areas of activity:

  • a learner support fund aimed at removing barriers to learning for those hardest to reach
  • Anti Discriminatory training - workshops to raise the awareness of equality and diversity issues
  • a dedicated fund which will support a small number of projects that are involved in working with the equality and diversity agenda for young people.

The ESF Convergence Programme has invested £500,000 in this project, with match activity identified at the level of the Skills Funding Agency's co-financing plan.
