Newquay Airport Hangars Development (Cornwall Council)

This project aims to refurbish Newquay Airport’s existing hanger and construct another to open up business opportunities at the airport.  This is part of a wider investment to enhance facilities at Newquay Cornwall Airport and provide a better service to business passengers, supporting economic growth in Cornwall.

The wider investment consists mainly of the improving the airport’s infrastructure, including expanding the terminal building, baggage handling equipment and sustainable energy projects. Details of this activity can be found here. This is complemented by the work to improve hangar provision at the airport. In addition, an Airport Development Team will be established to further develop the potential of the airport and adjacent land.

This Convergence investment builds on the Objective One investment that saw the transition of the airport from military to civil use.
