Newquay Airport Infrastructure and Airport Development Package (Cornwall Council)

This project aims to enhance facilities at Newquay Cornwall Airport to provide a better service to business passengers and support economic growth in Cornwall.

Newquay Airport

It consists of an investment in improving the airport’s infrastructure, including expanding the terminal building, baggage handling equipment and sustainable energy projects which is complemented by the refurbishment of the existing hanger and construction of a new hangar to open up new business opportunities at the airport.  Details of Convergence investment in the hangars can be found here. In addition, an Airport Development Team will be established to further develop the potential of the airport and adjacent land.

This Convergence investment builds on the Objective One investment that saw the transition of the airport from military to civil use.
