Peninsula Dental School - Research Facilities (University of Plymouth)
This investment will support the development of research facilities at the Peninsula Dental School. It forms part of a wider investment in an extension to the Knowledge Spa, Truro, to house the Peninsula Dental School's Cornwall headquarters.
Inside the dental school
What?
The key objectives of this project are:
- To create a research and educational community that is closely linked with local business.
- To increase training opportunities for the people of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly and attract students and qualified professionals to the area.
- To establish a successful Dental School campus in Cornwall.
- To establish an interactive science, medicine and business based community.
As part of a wider investment, the ERDF Convergence Programme has also invested in the construction of an extension at the Knowledge Spa, Truro, to house the Peninsula Dental School's Cornwall headquarters.
Who?
The University of Plymouth is the applicant and the investment will be delivered by Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry (University of Exeter and University of Plymouth), and the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust.
How much?
£1,244,000 ERDF Convergence investment has been allocated to developing research facilities at the Peninsula Dental School.
