Response to Redundancy (Cornwall College)

Through Response to Redundancy Cornwall College is able to offer a range of innovative, flexible and personalised training and skills programmes to people who are under notice of redundancy, newly redundant or unemployed but ready for employment after receiving this support. Cornwall College is working with Cornwall Neighbourhoods for Change, Lizard Pathways, Penwith Community Development Trust and CPR Regeneration.

There are three key target groups for this support:

  • Individuals who are under notice of redundancy and their employer organisations;
  • Individuals who are newly redundant;
  • Individuals who are unemployed but would be ready for employment after receiving this package of skills development support

Successful outcomes would include completion of training, progression into work with further workplace training, an apprenticeship or Higher Education as appropriate, voluntary work or accredited learning achievements.

Response to Redundancy is one of three investments being made in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly as part of a national Response to Redundancy programme.
