Skills Funding Agency Co-financing

With investment of more than £56 million from the European Social Fund (ESF) Convergence Programme the Learning and Skills Council co-financing plan is supporting hundreds of young people, adults and employers in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly to improve their skills. The Skills Funding Agency co-financing match is provided by E2E, Programme Led Apprenticeship, Train to Gain and Apprenticeships mainstream programme.

Part of the Skills Funding Agency’s Convergence investments target disadvantaged people and the major parts are aimed at supporting people working in key employment sectors such as food and drink, tourism, sustainable energy, ICT, marine and construction.

Details of the investments made through Skills Funding Agency Co-Financing can be found here.

These investments will make a real difference to the lives and aspirations of the people of Cornwall.  Providing better access to training and support services is key to raising skill levels, reducing unemployment and improving self confidence in the workforce. All of which contribute to Cornwall’s strengthening social and economic environment. Mark Williams, Skills Funding Agency, Skills Development Director – ESF
