Spiral Construction Ltd

This project comprises the construction of a factory extension to an existing building. The whole building will meet BREEAM Excellent standard, with the additional space including 134m2 of office space, 240m2 of new factory space and extra storage provision. This additional space will be created through physical extension to the building and the installation of additional mezzanine flooring.

Spiral Construction

The opening of Spiral Construction's extension

The company has outgrown its existing workspace which, in terms of size and layout is insufficient to meet increased demand for Spiral’s products. The South West Manufacturing Advice Service (SWMAS) team also have worked with Spiral to maximise factory throughput and efficiency but have confirmed that without expansion the company is vulnerable to increased competition – the company is currently turning away business due to a lack of spare production space.

The extension will increase Spiral’s useable floorspace by approximately 42% and will be laid out in a manner that optimises efficiency, again with the assistance of SWMAS.
