Tremough Infrastructure Design and Sustainability (Tremough Development Vehicle Ltd)

The purpose of the Infrastructure Design and Sustainability Study is to carry out detailed design and specialist work to implement Combined Universities in Cornwall′s masterplan for the Tremough Campus. The masterplan provides a comprehensive framework to guide the expansion of the campus to 2013 and beyond.  Future developments include the Performance Arts Centre and plans for an Academy of Research and Innovation and an Environment Sustainability Institute.

Preparatory work carried out through the Tremough Infrastructure Design and Sustainabilty Study will include the implementation of an Energy and Sustainability Strategy and tendering for contractors.

The IDSS project is led by Tremough Development Vehicle Ltd (TDV), a joint venture company formed by University College Falmouth and the University of Exeter.

Cross cutting themes

The Energy and Sustainability Strategy will include targets for the creation of super insulated buildings, renewable energy, rainwater harvesting and infiltration drainage systems. These targets will apply to any new build projects and, wherever possible, existing buildings and infrastructure need to be upgraded to a similar standard.
