South West European Social Fund (ESF) Awards
Seven of the South West European Social Fund (ESF) Awards which took place on 18 March 2010 have gone to Convergence supported people or projects from Cornwall. This includes 18-year-old Dee White, who has gone from many family and self esteem problems to work at Fifteen Cornwall and training for accountancy.
Carolyn Webster, European Programmes Manager, Jobcentre Plus, Devon and Cornwall District, has won the Outstanding Contribution Award for her role in driving the delivery of ESF in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
The awards highlight excellence in employment and skills activity across the whole of the South West from both the ESF Convergence (for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly) and Competitiveness programmes.
