Stakeholder Event invitation - launching South West EU Programmes Expression of Interest

You are invited to one of two stakeholder events launching a European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Expressions of Interest process for Supporting the Region's Domestic Energy Efficiency and Microgeneration Sector.

  • Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Convergence Programme: 24th March 2010. 14.00 - 16:30hrs, Environment Agency's Cornwall Area Office, Sir John Moore House, Victoria Square, Bodmin, Cornwall, PL31 1EB
  • South West Competitiveness and Employment Programme: 30th March 2010. 10:30 - 13:00hrs, Ashford's Solicitors, Grenadier Road, Exeter EX1 3LH

Background

These events mark the launch of a two-stage Expressions of Interest (EoI) round. Approximately £18.5m ERDF in the Convergence Programme and £4m ERDF within the Competitiveness Programme has been provisionally earmarked to support activity within this area. Funding from bidding partners will be required to match any ERDF investment.

The event has been arranged to give potential partners or consortia who maybe interested in submitting an EoI, an overview of the ERDF commissioning process and eligibility rules. The EoI process will cover both the Convergence and Competitiveness areas.

Agenda

The format of the events will be as follows:

  1. Overview of Convergence/Competitiveness Programme objectives - Head of Programme (South West RDA)
  2. Background to EoI call and process - Alex Huke (South West RDA)
  3. Overview of eligibility and match funding requirements - Anona Vazquez-Masson (South West RDA)
  4. Questions - All

Who should attend?

The framework for this EoI considers both supporting the domestic energy efficiency and microgeneration sector whilst also stimulating a demand for their products and services. Focus will be around innovation, demonstration and additionality over other similar activities. As such the event may be of special interest to: local authorities, housing associations, energy agencies, energy suppliers, the domestic energy efficiency and microgeneration business sectors, business support providers, low carbon and environmental networks.

What if I can't come?

If you cannot attend the events but would like copies of presentation material and/or to be notified as to when an EoI call will be released,  please register your interest via email with josie.lale@southwestrda.org.uk.
