What is Convergence?

Management of Convergence

ERDF Convergence

At a national level the Department for Communities and Local Government (CLG) is responsible for ERDF. More locally the South West Regional Development Agency (SWRDA) has had responsibilities devolved to them for ERDF and local partners are engaged through the Programme Monitoring Committee which is chaired by GOSW and includes representatives from our local authorities, the private, community and environmental sectors, the trades unions and representatives from national government and the European Commission.

Structures and governance

ESF Convergence

At national level the Managing Authority for the England ESF Programme is the European Social Fund Division (ESFD) of the Department for Work and Pensions, supported in the region by Government Office for the South West.

It has been agreed that a combined ESF/ERDF Programme Monitoring Committee will review the strategy and delivery of the ESF Programme in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

Local delivery will take place through the ESF Frameworks and co-financing plans, overseen by the Regional Skills Partnership.
